Free tool · X video downloader
Download videos and GIFs from X (Twitter) as MP4, in every quality up to 1080p. Paste the link of the post and save it. Free, no sign-up.
On X, open the post with the video, tap the share icon and choose Copy link. On desktop you can also copy the address from the browser bar.
Paste the link in the field above. We read the post and show you the video with every quality X stores for it.
Choose 1080p, 720p or a smaller size. The MP4 is saved to your Downloads folder, or to Files on iPhone.
Every video on X has a public address: the link of the post that contains it. To download the video, you only need that link. Open the post, tap the share icon, choose Copy link, paste it in the field at the top of this page and press Download. The video appears with a preview and a button for each available quality.
On a computer the file goes to your Downloads folder. On Android it goes to the Download folder and shows up in your gallery. On iPhone and iPad, Safari saves it to the Files app: open it there and tap Save Video to add it to Photos.
Links from twitter.com, x.com, mobile.twitter.com and the fxtwitter or vxtwitter mirrors all work. If a post contains more than one video, each one gets its own preview and buttons.
X keeps several copies of every video, encoded at different sizes. A video uploaded in Full HD is usually available in 1080p, 720p, 480p and 360p, while vertical videos come in matching portrait sizes. The highest quality is preselected.
Choose 1080p if you plan to edit the clip or show it on a large screen. Choose 720p for sharing in chats and on other social networks: it looks almost the same on a phone and weighs about half. The smallest sizes are useful on a slow connection.
X does not store GIFs as GIF files. When someone posts a GIF, X converts it into a short silent MP4 that loops. This downloader saves it in that MP4 format, which is smaller and sharper than a GIF and plays everywhere. If you need a real .gif file, any video-to-GIF converter can turn the MP4 into one.
Most people who download videos from X are building a reference library: clips to react to with credit, examples of hooks that worked, formats to try in their own posts. Saving a video is the first step of studying what performs in a niche.
Kindal does that study for you. It follows the accounts and sources of your niche, picks out the posts that are getting traction, explains the pattern behind them and writes your own version, ready to publish on X.

No. The tool works with the public link of the post, so you do not need an X account or a Kindal account.
The highest quality X stores for that video, usually 1080p for videos uploaded in Full HD. Older or smaller uploads may top out at 720p or less.
Yes. X stores GIFs as short MP4 videos, so they appear in the list like any other video and are saved as MP4.
Yes, in the browser, with no app to install. On iPhone the video is saved to the Files app, and from there you can add it to Photos.
No. Only posts that anyone can see without logging in can be downloaded. Posts from protected accounts are not reachable.
Some browsers block direct saving. When that happens the video opens in a new tab: right-click it and choose Save video as, or use the share menu on mobile.
Saving a video for personal use is generally fine. Reposting it is a different matter: the video belongs to its creator, so ask for permission and give credit.
Kindal follows the sources and accounts of your niche, finds what is worth posting every day and writes the post in your voice, ready for X.
